Ride Ratings

D Pace: 8–10 mph Distance: 10–20 miles Mostly flat; bike paths and quiet streets. Highly social with frequent regroups.

C Pace: 10–12 mph Distance: 20–30 miles Easy grades with some rolling hills. Rides add more surface streets with traffic.

C+ Pace: 12–15 mph Distance: 25–45 miles Includes more challenging hills and varied terrain.

B Pace: 15–18 mph Distance: 30–50 miles Higher pace with some steep climbs.

B+ Pace: 16–19 mph Distance: 35–60 miles Sustained higher speeds over longer distances.

Ride Terms

No-Drop Ride: The group stays together. No one is left behind; the ride leader or a "sweep" ensures everyone reaches the finish.

Drop Ride: Riders are expected to maintain the posted pace. If you cannot keep up, you are responsible for navigating your own way back.

Regroups: Scheduled stops (often at the top of hills or major intersections) to allow the group to gather and hydrate.
