(from the Club Bylaws)

“Great group of wonderful people and a wide variety of group rides for all ability levels.” — Gerard P.

Our History

  • In 1979, Suzy Truax and some cycling friends named their cycling group “the Procrastinating Pedalers.”

  • On March 2, 1988, the “Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno” was incorporated as a non-profit organization by Kevin DeWolfe, Bruce MacKay, and Frank Cronick

  • Bart Kluck designed the original Pedaler jersey featuring a cartoon of the Truckee Meadows.

  • The Club remains Reno’s largest recreational cycling club.

  • Many thanks to Darryl Rubhart founder of SYNAP who updated the Club logo and provided significant guidance/technical support during the new website’s construction.

Member of Interest: Tim Sullivan

The Pedaler’s longest serving member is Tim Sullivan, who joined the Club in 1979.

Today, Tim leads the popular Coffeehouse rides.
