Club meetings are held monthly, except for December and August, at Roundtable Pizza, Reno, at Vine and Fourth St at 5:30 for dinner and 6:30 meeting.
What do I get for my membership?
Your Membership dues help support bicycling related activism, philanthropy and other benefits directly to you include the annual summer picnic in Genoa, the Holiday party, supplemental insurance when on a club ride and there are discounts at our sponsoring bike shops and stores. Membership applications are available here.
Single memberships are $25.
Family and Joint memberships are $30
It won't cost you anything, but membership in Meetup is seperate from your Procrastinating Pedalers membership and Meetup Group membership is necessary for you to get the full benefits of our Procrastinating Pedalers Meetup Group. Even though anyone can see the Pedaler's calendar on Meetup, if you are not a Pedalers Meetup member (again, free, no cost) you are missing out on additional information and features available only to Pedaler Meetup Group members. Examples of exclusive features for Pedalers Meetup Group members only are: being notified if a ride you rsvp'd for got cancelled, the ability to see other Meetup members ratings and comments about previous rides, see who plans to attend the ride, discussion groups, and learn more about our members, plus additional features we aren't listing here.
Be A Ride LeaderOr Assistant and Earn Pedalers Bucks!
The Procrastinating Pedalers Club is looking for ride leaders and assistant ride leaders. Being an assistant ride leader is a good way to learn the ropes before leading your own ride.
What's in it for you? For each ride you lead or assist in leading, you will earn ten Pedalers Bucks, up to a maximum of 50 Bucks in a year (from November to October). Pedalers Bucks may be used toward the purchase of Pedaler clothing, or you may choose to be awarded a gift certificate to the LBS (local bike shop) of your choice.
If you choose the LBS option, your Bucks will be presented to you at the club Holiday Party or at any time during the year once you have accumulated 50 Bucks. If you choose the clothing option, you may redeem your Bucks at any time when the online Pedalers clothing store is open.
You must be a Pedalers club member in good standing to lead a ride or be an assistant ride leader. Information on joining the club may be found the lower half of this page. You must also be a member of the Pedalers group on meetup.com so that you may be listed as a ride leader on the calendar. There is no fee for joining Meetup.
If you are interested in leading a ride or being an assistant, please read “Procrastinatimg Pedalers Ride Leader 101” and then contact either Mishelle Bradford (email@example.com) or Ernie McNeill (firstname.lastname@example.org). If you would like to lead a ride, we will help you plan your ride and will then post the ride to the calendar. If you would like to assist with a ride, we will coordinate that. Lead on!
